Family-Friendly Event: Sunday 24 June, 2pm – Holywells Park

We have added an extra, family-friendly event to the IOG calendar this Sunday to tie in with the Great Get Together, a national event in memory of Jo Cox MP:  https://www.greatgettogether.org/

Arrangements

Sunday 24 June from 2 pm

We will meet in Holywells Park lower section (174 m from the Myrtle Road entrance as marked on the map; on road parking available near both Myrtle Road and Cliff Lane entrances to the park if required).

We will be arranging some games, a walk around the park or, for the more energetic, a lap of the trim trail (a sort of outdoor gym). Other options include a visit to the Stables Cafe and making use of the children’s play area which is very good and includes:

  • interactive fountains which are great fun for younger children if it is a hot day (swimming costumes, towels and sunblock all advisable)
  • a large climbing net for older children

To help with the planning please let us know if you are coming and the ages of any children you will be bringing:  chair@ipswichoutdoor.org

To be clear on how this is intended to work: the person bringing the children (i.e. the parent or guardian) remains fully responsible for them at all times. Beyond that the organisers will put some activities together that are suited to the kids’ ages (and will be looking to get as many of the adults involved as possible too!).

We look forward to seeing you,
