Saturday walk. Those staying at the Blaxhall Youth Hostel, plus extras, walked from Blaxhall to Campsea Ashe and Tunstall:11 miles on an overcast but dry day. Followed by a good evening in The Blaxhall Ship.
Sunday. A bright but chilly day with clear blue skies. Kate led our walk from Blaxhall to Iken Church then along the river path to Snape Maltings. At least that was the plan…
The tide was high. Very high. The river path was still there, but under rather a lot of water. An alternative inland route was quickly found and we made it to Snape Maltings for drinks and cake. Then a short walk through the woods back to Blaxhall.
Our weekend break at Blaxhall was great fun. Thank you to everyone who stayed with us, and also to those who came along and joined us for the walks.
