Today’s 10.2ish-mile walk incorporated six different dales, starting with Millers Dale.
Monk’s Dale turned into a rainforest-like adventure, which saw us scrambling over rocks, limbo-ing under and hurdling over fallen trees.
The other dales (Peter Dale, Hay Dale and Dam Dale) were all different, ranging from gentle stream paths and open fields to dramatic cliff faces.
The final dale was Cave Dale with its steep, grassy sides and Peveril Castle looming over it.
A short walk through Castleton village brought us back to Castle Losehill Hall Youth Hostel where we had started this amazing four-day trip.
