Anna’s Lackford Lake walk – Saturday December 16th

Seven of us met for a very enjoyable walk around this Suffolk Wildlife Trust site just outside Bury St Edmunds. We were very fortunate to have a beautifully sunny and crisp winter’s morning. The site was quiet so we had the hides mostly to ourselves, although we did meet up with some keen bird watchers who were very happy to share their knowledge with us. Consequently we know we saw a Marsh Tit and a Nuthatch on and around “the stump” amongst some more common garden birds – also many birds on the lakes.

Lunch at The Three Kings, Fornham All Saints was delicious, the staff were friendly and we were served quickly. I would certainly recommend this pub.

Thank you to everyone who came and made it such an enjoyable day.
