Shotley Peninsula Cycling: Saturday 20th April

Two of us set off from the Suffolk Ski Centre for this 35-mile on-road cycle ride.

The temperature was hovering at a chilly 6 °C and there was a blustery cold wind, which meant we were wearing gear more suited to winter. However, conditions improved throughout the ride, with temperatures eventually reaching around 10 °C, with some sunshine thrown in as well.

We picked up Rachael along the route (she was on her way back from cycling in Holland), and the three of us made a consistent pace. We ended up getting to the planned pub lunch stop before the pub opened, so we opted to carry on and have lunch at a church further along the route.

Overall, it was an enjoyable ride out.
