Teesdale Trip: Tuesday 10th September

Pics contributed by Heather, Glen, Christina and Clare.

Seventeen IOGers arrived in Teesdale on Monday 9th September for a trip organised by chairman Glen – a whole week of IOG walks, cycle rides, cultural visits, eating, drinking, hot-tubbing, games, fun and laughter. Our home for the week was two converted farm buildings in the pretty village of Romaldkirk, just six miles from Barnard Castle (eye test, anyone?) in County Durham. The pics below give a flavour of our first full day…

Glen led the group on an 11-mile walk along the disused railway track…
…to Middleton-in-Teesdale, where we found knitted street art.
We walked back along the river in the sunshine.
The weather was glorious and it was a lovely walk, a great start to the trip.
